Our Service User Representative Group is relaunching!

The Service User Representative Group, or SURG, is a body of volunteers who represent the views and interests of Service Users in a variety of ways, working with NHS and Social Care Partners. This would include representation on/at:

  • Strategy Groups
  • Recruitment Panels
  • Training events
  • Steering Groups
  • Conferences
  • Other commissioned work as required

Over the last few months, SURG has been going through a review process, and it is felt that service users from all over Cornwall, with concerns about a huge variety of issues, should be invited and encouraged to join the Group so that more views can be expressed

You may wish to join SURG if:

  • You have lived experience of mental health issues
  • You use or have used mental health and wellbeing services
  • You have been a Carer of someone with mental health problems
  • All or some of the above!

What does being involved mean?

This means having the opportunity to share your views and experiences where it counts, about what helps and matters to you, and enabling you to help shape decisions about services alongside Health, Social Care and the Voluntary Sector. Expenses, training and support will be given.
