Peter Jefferson, our Chief Executive, had served 25 years as a commissioned officer in the Royal Navy before joining the CRCC last year. His wealth of management and personnel experience as a commanding officer, within headquarters staff, procurement and as an aircraft captain provides the CRCC with a capable CEO. On a more formal note, in addition to being a graduate of Britannic Royal Naval College, Peter has a degree in civil and structural engineering, formal staff officer training and is a qualified aircrew instructor.

Peter and his wife Helen have lived near Truro for the last 25 years, except for a 2 ½ year posting as a family to Nevada USA, when Peter was seconded to the US Navy. Their two Cornish born children Oliver and Alice are in higher education in Cardiff and Bath respectively.

Peter says ‘it’s a huge privilege to be working here at the CRCC with such wonderful staff; I just hope I can do them proud and I can lead them through these changing times’.
